Debra Jean (Large) Primm, 55, of Sherman passed away on August 7, 2012 at Villa Health Care East in Sherman. Debbie was born February 7, 1957 in Springfield, Illinois to Dean and Dorothy Bartlett Large. She was a previous member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and also served on the Resident Council at Villa East. Debbie spent many years volunteering in the community thru the Springfield Jaycees. She was the last president of the former Jaycee Women in Springfield. Ms. Primm worked for over 25 years at the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Conservation Police. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are son Eric Primm of St. Charles, Missouri; daughter Mindie Kavanaugh (husband Scott) of Shreveport, Louisianna; three sisters: Penny Novy of Lindenhurst, Pam Smith of Springfield, and Deanna Large (Tammy Allison) of Chatham; two grandchildren: McKenna and Molly Kavanaugh of Shreveport, Louisiana; two nieces: Sara Bree Culotta (husband Charles) of Antioch and Melissa Smith of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great nephews. Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements. You may visit with the family on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Bisch Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street. Celebration of life services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday following the visitation at Bisch and Son. Burial will follow at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens, Illinois.
