Charlotte C. Bruso

She was born on December 5, 1938, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of the late Aaron and Nelsene (Beck) Bolyard. She married Elmer Bruso on April 8, 1967 in Decatur, IL.

Charlotte worked as a bindery specialist in their family printing business. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Springfield. Charlotte’s greatest love was for her family; her husband, sons and grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed spending time in her garden tending to her flowers which she had a real talent for. She enjoyed reading and often took care of all the stray animals in the neighborhood. Charlotte truly had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her husband Elmer Bruso of Springfield; 3 children, Randy (wife Jodi) Bruso of Springfield, Rocky (wife Nancy) Wasser of Vero Beach, FL, and Joe (wife Julie) Bruso of Springfield; 6 grandchildren, Megan (husband Patrick) Tipton, Jack Bruso, Travis Wasser, Aaron Bruso, Olivia Bruso, and Kevin Wasser, Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren, Josie Tipton, Ella Tipton, Kevin Wasser, and Isabella Wasser; 2 siblings, Sandra (husband Harold) Bruso of Decatur, IL and Grayland (wife Connie) Bolyard of Brownstown, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Jeff Wasser; her sister Mae Bolyard Washburn, and brother Dale Bolyard.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, Springfield. Visitation will be held at say Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1720 South Grand Ave East, Springfield, IL on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 11:30 am until the time of the funeral mass at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
