Bonnie was born on February 19, 1953, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Ione (Finke) Sherer.
Bonnie worked in dietary/kitchen service for many years. She attended West Side Christian Church. Bonnie enjoyed lighthouses, puzzles, and was a collector of owls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Connie Chance; and one brother, Donald Sherer.
She is survived by her three children, Mary J. (partner, Jake Parker) Luft of Springfield, Billy E. McNutt of MN, and Pat (Kassy) E. McNutt of MN; six grandchildren, Zachary and Kelsey Luft, Angil, Lyle, Pat, Jr. and Maxwell McNutt; two great-grandchildren, Blair and Lyanna Luft; three nieces; and two nephews.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Private family ceremonies were held.
