Betty Ruth Sprinkel, 89, of Loami, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, August 9, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born January 14, 1926, in Springfield, to Fred and Emma Numrich Numrick. Betty married George �Bud� Sprinkel on February 26, 1944. Her husband, Bud, son George �Skip� and grandson, Michael Crider preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Bumgarner of Glenarm; grandchildren, Bill (Stefanie) Sprinkel of Springfield, Christopher Sprinkel of Pawnee, Linda (Danny) Mullins of Carl Junction, MO, Katie (Jeremy) Janssen of Champaign; great grandchildren, Aadyn, Mikayla, Liam, and Bethanie; step grandchildren, Shane (Tammy) Bumgarner, Shannon Green, Candi (Eddie) Ebeling, Mindy Bumgarner; step great grandchildren, Jesse, Jocelyn, Julianna, Elle, Emma and Elena; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Betty was an active member of the Chatham Baptist Church, serving on the Women�s Mission Group for many years. She helped her husband farm for many years and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Mrs. Sprinkel was able to enjoy gardening and caring for her flowers through last summer. Visitation and Funeral: Her family will greet friends from 4-7pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham and from 9am until the time of the funeral ceremony at 10am, Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Chatham Baptist Church, 1500 East Walnut, Chatham. Her pastor, Dr. Milton Bost will officiate. Burial will follow at Campbell Cemetery, Loami. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chatham Baptist Church.
