James Kenneth Reardon, age 81, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his residence. He was born on September 2, 1942 in Massapequa, New York, the son of the late James K. and Pauline (Nekelski) Reardon.
James was a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather. James dedicated his life to his family, his passions and his profession. James retired from General Motors/Delphi Automotive Systems in Dayton, Ohio and served in the National Guard for six years. His love for flying led him to get his small pilot’s license which led to countless solo flights. James was also quite the handyman and took great pride in his ability to tackle any project. He had an exceptional work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and was able to fix anything.
One of his greatest joys was spending time outdoors. He was an avid hunter, a passion he shared with his son, and found peace and tranquility in the woods. He also enjoyed gardening, keeping his yard immaculate, fishing and golfing whenever he had the opportunity. James also loved the ocean and spent six years living his dream after retirement on Pawley’s Island where he could walk the beach daily.
James was a guiding light in the lives of his children, Stephanie Buck, James Reardon Jr (Debbie) and Leila Zellers. He was a doting grandfather to his seven grandchildren (Matt, Mary, Jacob, Sammie, Kasey, Kara and Molly) and adored his five great-grandchildren. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed. James also loved his dog, Lacy, who brought him joy and companionship.
James Kenneth Reardon will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family and friends. May James rest in eternal peace, forever in our hearts and memories.
