William David Strauss

Bill was born to Paul and Harriet Strauss on April 8, 1949 in New York, NY. He spent his childhood growing up in the Bronx, NY, on the doorstep of Yankee Stadium, where he had several fond memories.

Known for his hard work and passion, after college Bill enjoyed a successful career on Wall Street, rising to become Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the American Stock Exchange in New York.

Above all, family was always the most important thing to Bill. He was a devoted husband, a wonderfully dedicated father, an adoring grandfather, and loving brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Julie, loving daughter Sarah and son Marc (Katie), grandsons Dylan and Tyler, sisters Arlene (Harold) and Carole (Shimon), Brother in Law Pat (beloved sister Susan, predeceased) and his nieces and nephews. His selflessness, virtue, gigantic heart and sense of humor will always be missed.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, New York.
