He was the devoted husband of Phyllis Kossin for 53 years, loving father of Elyse Kossin and Cheryl Roppa (Greg Roppa), cherished son of the late Leon and Marion Kossin, caring brother of Roni Epstein (Marc Epstein) and the late Sarah Trachtenberg (late Steve Trachtenberg), adored “Pa” of Tyler Roppa and Sophia Roppa, and dedicated companion to the late Brownie, Shecky, Andy and Ollie.
Warren grew up in the Bronx, NY, spent his childhood summers at Kiamesha Lake, NY with his beloved aunts, uncles and cousins and raised his family in Rockland County. He attended New York University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, and then Brooklyn Law School.
He loved to read mystery novels, go for walks, root for his beloved Yankees, watch old movies and tv shows, listen to old radio shows and travel.
Warren was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel in Upper Nyack and the Rockland County and New York State Bar Associations.
What meant most to Warren was his family and friends and he was known by all for his sense of humor, integrity and warmth.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. Interment will follow at King Solomon Memorial Park, 550 Dwasline Rd, Clifton, NJ 07012.
