Russell A. Martocci, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Russell was born in Chicago, IL, on October 18, 1936, to the late, Anthony Martocci and Maryann (Donahue) Martocci. He came to the Spring Hill, FL area nearly 11 years ago, coming from Tarpon Springs, FL and resided in Ridgewood, NJ prior. Russell was a veteran of the US Air Force from 1955 to 1959 where he served as a co-pilot. After 40 years of working as Vice President for Dial America Marketing in Mahwah, NJ where he managed staff on many levels before he retired. He loved salt water fishing, golf, was a big Chicago Cubs and Tampa Bay Rays fan, he liked playing card as well, especially Poker and Texas Hold’em. Russell was a very active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, serving as a communicant, usher and Eucharistic minister. He was also a 3rd Degree Knight and a member of the St. Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus Council #11317, the American Legion in Hudson, FL and the Italian American Club of Tarpon Springs, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Maryann Martocci and brother, Michael Martocci. Survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Rocky Martocci of Spring Hill, FL; daughter, Susan Rasmussen (John) of North Lake, WI; son, Michael Martocci of San Diego, CA; son, Russel Martocci, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; son, Dominick Fratello (Jaclyn) of Spring Hill, FL; daughter, Carmela Mott (Bill) of Floral City, FL; son, Frank Fratello (Ghizlane) of Spring Hill, FL; sister, Carol Lanke (Lowell) of Hudson, FL; sister, Marie Barczak (Ken) of Wauwatosa, WI; sister, Phyllis Higgins (Matthew) of Spring Hill, FL; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 30th, 2-4 pm and 6 – 8 pm with wake service at 7 pm at Turner Funeral Home’s Spring Hill Chapel. Funeral mass to follow on Monday, May 1st, at 10 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens. A reception is to be held following all services at 1:30 PM at Southern Hills Country Club, 19850 Southern Hills Blvd. Brooksville, FL. 34601.
