Marilyn Jane Richards

Marilyn Jane Richards, age 59, passed away Dec 11, 2022 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Marilyn was born Jan. 11, 1963 in Buffalo, New York to her parents the late Edmund Richards and Gloria Richards. Marilyn grew up surrounded by her 3 sisters Rose Marshall (Tim), the late Patricia Richards, and Sandra Buliga (Chris). She is survived by her two children Carrie Whitehurst (Jared) and Christopher Martzolf. She was grandma to 6 children: Caleb Sevin, Kyle Sevin, the late Danielle Davis, Gavin Whitehurst, Micah Whitehurst, and Aaliyah Whitehurst. She has many aunts, uncles' cousins' nieces and nephews, and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Marilyn attended catholic school as a child and later played on the basketball team at Lancaster high school. She then attended cosmetology school and became a talented hairdresser. Marilyn moved from New York to Florida in late 1989, where she later went to school for nursing. She built a successful career directing surgery centers and was a true leader and good business woman. Marilyn had a constant passion for life and lived her life to the fullest. Although she had many hobbies, a few of her favorites were a love for traveling/concerts, fashion, beaches/sunsets, DIY projects and anything HGTV, Harley Davidson, and Marilyn Monroe.

For those who wish to attend there will be a funeral service held for Marilyn at 11:30 AM on the 21st of January, at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church in Tarpon Springs followed by a celebration of life.
