For me you were always there at Fannin Hill.
One of my prize possessions is a Bridle holder hand made by you that I won up at a Fannin Hill event.
One of my fondest memories is seeing you there to direct me back to the farm coming off the roads part of the Mini 2 Day years ago. I know you are in heaven resting in the care of our Lord. God bless.

Larry was like a father to me and David and a grandfather to Michael. He always made us feel special and we’re so thankful for his love all these years. I’m so glad I was able to cook and bake the things he enjoyed. I’m going to miss making him things. But those are just things…Larry is in heaven enjoying even more wonderful things. One day we’ll see him again in the glory of heaven.  We love you Larry and grateful for the memories.

It has been truly a privilege to have known and loved Uncle Larry. His generosity, friendly smile, easy personality,  and love will be memories our family will always cherish. He was a wonderful uncle!

Larry it is an honor to have called you brother-in-law.  You have always been one of the kindest people I have ever known.   I read a quote that said we become a part of all we meet.  I have to agree for I find life richer for having known you.  Thanks for the memories and all the laughs.  You will leave a hole no one else can fill.  Love you my friend. 

We were lucky enough to be able to live with Judy and Larry for several months. We have so many memories. We would watch the afternoon westerns on TV. Larry knew that my favorite was Wells Fargo and we tried to watch it together daily.
There were so many boat trips, their 50th anniversary cruise to the Caribbean and a family trip to Abaco. Larry was one of the most gracious and hospitable person there was. He always wanted you to be comfortable and he never wanted to be in the way or bother you.

We will miss you so much. Thanks for the special memories. We love you very much.

Dad taught me a lot about life.  The most important thing was to just keep going until the task is done.  Don't complain that it isn't fair that you have to do it and don't do it to get kudos.  Do it because it needs to be done and you are able to do it.  He was quietly the most capable, responsible person I know.  I love him and miss him.

Just recently I got to be a part of the dying process, uncomfortable as it was and despite the emotional pain that is felt for so many… it’s beautiful. We all get so caught up with life, careers, families & time that we rarely slow down to see how quickly it’s all escaping us. I am not going to lie, I thought I was going to be a pro, i have been to many funerals so It’s safe to say I have been exposed to death through the years. But it’s nothing like being a part of the process, hands on and front row view. It’s was instantly an uncomfortable feeling, not sure what to do or say, not sure how to act or to help. But I forced myself to stay present & to learn to face the vulnerability. It was magical, special and truly gave me a different take on many things in life. In the end we’re all human and all we need is some love, compassion & empathy. 


I will forever appreciate being a part of this process with my grandfather, the patriarch of our family. The reason why I have always been so proud to be a fannin, 

Larry Fannin.
