He was hired by Sohio which then became British Petroleum. He spent his entire career with the company. The family resided in the Cleveland area for most of his adult life with a short time in the Toledo area. Ken and Martha were founding members of Bay Village Baptist Church where Ken taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a Deacon. Ken had the opportunity to travel extensively for BP and was able to have Martha join him frequently when the children were grown. This love of traveling continued into retirement as many destinations occurred on the trek from Florida to Ohio over the years. After retirement, Ken and Martha spent most of the year in Florida and the summers in Westlake, Ohio. Ken was able to pursue his passion year-round of playing golf. One of his proudest achievements was to have played golf in all 50 states and several other countries. Ken also collected golf memorabilia which included books, wooden shafted clubs and other golf collectibles. So much was his love of golf that he wrote a book "Cleveland Area Golf." Among his other hobbies was stamp collecting, especially first day covers. Ken was a quiet and unassuming man who loved God, his wife and family fiercely. He was very generous, especially to his family in so many ways. He loved to hold and rock each new child who entered the family. He enjoyed telling stories to his own children and then to the grandchildren. His love for us all will be greatly missed. Ken has been a faithful member of Northcliffe Church in Spring Hill, Florida for the past 23 years. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life Memorial at Northcliffe Church in the Family Life Center at 1pm on April 20, 2023.
