Josephine M. Jones, 91 of Brooksville, FL passed away on January 3rd, 2018. Josephine was born in the Bronx, NY to the late Vincent and Palmerina Rotondo. She met the love of her life, Albert Jones, over a 3 cent stamp during his service in the military overseas in World War II. They married and settled down in Long Island, NY in May 1947 and began to raise their family. Josephine was a secretary for Newsday. She and her family moved to Brooksville, FL from Long Island in 1981. Shortly after moving, she became a parishioner of St. Anthony the Abbott Catholic Church in Brooksville, FL. Josephine was also the president and secretary of Campers Holiday. She loved to read and bake. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. Survivors include, Thomas Jones of Long Island, NY; daughter, Margaret Jones (Joseph) Mazzuchelli of Brooksville, FL; four grandchildren; Christine, Tommy, Kevin and Edmund. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 from 3-6 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill, FL. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home before Josephine is laid to rest at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
