Joseph "Chris" C. Ziegler Jr., age 85, of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
Chris was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a commercial fisherman for 60 years. He loved anything to do with the water and was a boat, motorcycle and antique car enthusiast. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica; children, April (Dom) Massimini, Joseph Timothy (Megan) Ziegler, Cindy Cole and Christine Elizabeth Ziegler; step-sons, Robert J. (Linda) Contento, Louis (Elizabeth) Contento and Peter (Dawn) Carlson; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family & friends for Chris will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, where a service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
