He is lovingly known as “Abo” (short for Abuelo) to his family. He is survived by two sisters Antonia and Mildred. Three children Jaime Pujol (Aida Rodriguez), Ana del Carmen Pujol, and Hector Pujol (Marta Cotto). As well as his grandchildren Jorge Gordon (Tamara Trinidad), Jaime Gordon, Jasmine Pujol, Ivelisse Pujol, and Angela Carlo. As well as great grandchildren Nemesio and Itzel Gordon.
Jaime graduated from Ponce High School and from there went to serve in the Army. Jaime was active in the Lions Club, enjoyed being an umpire for baseball and softball, loved watching sports (especially the Marlins), enjoyed listening to tango/boleros, and of course playing Yahtzee on his handheld game and dominos.
Jaime worked as an aluminum salesperson then moved to work for a steal company who provided steal for many of the Caribbean islands.
He was first married to Hilda Iris Betancourt and together had three wonderful children. Hilda passed away in 1990 and Jaime remarried Cecilia Hirsch. Cecilia passed away in 2022.
Jaime is greatly missed yet loved and appreciated. The memories his family has will live in their hearts. Prayers are welcomed for the repose of his soul as well as his family who mourn their loss.
There will be a Memorial service on April 18th, 2023, at 7pm, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. There will then be a funeral service and burial on May 6th at Del Pilar Funeral home in Canovanas, Puerto Rico. His cremains will be put to rest in the Veterans National Cemetery in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
