

ail Evelyn Jordan, 87, of Weeki Wachee, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Heather Walk Drive. Born on April 18, 1937, at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut, Gail was the beloved daughter of the late Benjamin Ivor Laskey and Evelyn Spray-Laskey. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Laskey, and by her spouses: Hector Arias, Lt. Col. Richard James Cole, USMC, and Lt. Col. Earle Howard Jordan, USA.
Gail is survived by her three sons: Mark Paul Arias, David Peter Arias, and John Matthew Arias; her sister, Linda Patrick; five nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Gail enjoyed a long and successful career as a banker with SunTrust Bank, where she was admired for her professionalism, integrity, and her ability to form meaningful relationships throughout the community. After moving to Florida from Connecticut in 1973, she became a dedicated member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Spring Hill, where she remained active for over five decades.
Known for her love of family, travel, wine, and fine food, Gail embraced life with enthusiasm. She will be remembered as fun-loving, caring, outgoing, and generous. She held a special place in the hearts of many, often serving as a second mom to her sons’ friends during their school years.
An informal Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in the fellowship hall at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Boulevard in Spring Hill, FL 34606, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to stop by and share memories of how Gail touched their lives. At 2:30 p.m., a brief graveside service will follow on the church grounds as Gail is laid to rest.
Gail was cremated at Turner Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
