Francis (Frank) Stanley Talarczyk, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on June 25, 2024 at the James A Hailey VA Hospital Hospice in Tampa, Florida after complications from mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure while serving in the US Navy. He was born on December 30, 1947 in New Haven, CT to Francis & Molley Talarczyk. He is survived by his wife Wanda Algarin ; son Jim Brennan and wife Kathleen, Step sons Bryan and Dennis Brophy, Sister-in-law Ledia Martinez and husband Edwin Lugo, Sister-in Law-Mayra Martinez; and beloved, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
His life was a testament to his unwavering love and dedication to his family, friends, and his country. Friends that served with him in Desert Storm shared how proud they were of his accomplishments as a great leader and teacher to those who served under him.
A man of honor and courage, he served his nation with distinction, embodying the values of loyalty, duty, and integrity. He began his military career by joining the U.S. Navy and subsequently the Army at an early age. He retired from the US Army Reserve in 1993. He was an exemplary citizen-soldier who also retired from the Bayer Company as a machinist prior to his move to Florida. In Florida he enjoyed his multiple hobbies and did volunteer work as an Auxiliary with the US Coast Guard for several years.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. As we bid farewell to a life so beautifully lived, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide us on our own journeys.
A viewing and celebration of his live will take place on Monday, July 1 at 11:00AM at Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Dr, Spring Hill, FL 34609. At 2:00PM he will be buried with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida, 33513
Frank will be deeply missed but his spirit will live on the hearts of those who loved him.
