Dorothy was born July 21, 1923 in the town of Rose, NY, the youngest of ten children- of the late Edward and Etta (Crawford) Clingerman. She was raised in the Sunny Banks area on the shores of Sodus Bay, NY. She later resided in Lyons, NY and raised a family of five children with her late husband of 42 years, Everett Lasher.
After 25 years, Dorothy retired from the N.Y. State Thruway Authority as a Toll Collector (Exit 42), before moving to Florida.
Dorothy attended Christian Life Assembly of God Church in Brooksville, FL with many brothers and sisters in Christ, special recognition to Pansy and Eunice Harper, Betty Finstad, and Matt Dean.
Dorothy is survived by her five children: Gene, Carl, Leon, Linda and Terry (Mary), ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandchild, Laura.
Dorothy’s family will receive friends from 12-1:30 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL followed by a memorial service to be held at 2:00 PM.
