New York, she worked as an Associate in the Fashion Industry for Lane Bryant. In 1992, Carmen and her son Isa, became permanent residents of Spring Hill, Florida. Carmen worked a full-time job while attending Pasco-Hernando Community College and graduated with high honors. In every area of Carmen’s professional life, she consistently excelled and was always recognized for her excellence in customer service, performance and work ethics. No matter where Carmen went, she always had a smile on her face and managed to develop great relationships such as her lifelong dear sister friends: Beverly Garza and Vera Lacey. Carmen also had a passion for reading, fashion design, event planning and watching professional sports. She was most well known for her outstanding artistic creations, excellent culinary skills and most of all for her big heart and unconditional love.
Over the years, Carmen endured many medical challenges as well as other obstacles but managed to always persevere in particular while residing at South Heritage Health & Rehabilitation Center for the last two years. God called her home on January 10, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl. Affectionately known as “Kaiki”, Carmen loved all sides of her family: she leaves to mourn her Mother, Son, Siblings, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts and Friends, all too numerous to individually name.
