Carmen Maria Alicea, age 88, of Spring Hill, Fl, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at the HPH Hospice Care Center, in Brooksville. Carmen was born on May 16, 1928, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, to the late Pablo Soto and Segunda Andrea Ledee, as Carmen Maria Soto Ledee. Carmen has been a 4 year resident of Spring Hill coming from Tampa, Fl where she resided for 38 years, and originally coming from Puerto Rico. As a home maker, Carmen enjoyed decorating her home with floral displays, she spent most of her time reading the bible, and praying, every day. Carmen was Christian in her faith. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Roberto Alicea-Miranda in 2012, brother, Miguel Soto, and sister Lidia Soto. Carmen is lovingly survived by her sons; Roberto (Iris Nereida)Alicea, of Tampa, FL. and Jose Alberto Alicea (Vicky Acabeo) of Puerto Rico, daughters; Neyda (Francisco) Martinez, of Spring Hill, FL. and Marta Garcia, of Spring Hill, FL. 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her brothers, Pedro Soto, and Benito Soto, both of Puerto Rico. Funeral arrangements and cremation are entrusted to the Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. Carmen will join her husband Roberto at the Florida Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center.
