Helen Virginia Cosgrove was born to eternal life on July 6, 2014. She was born in Chicago, earned a B.A. from Barrat College, and a Masters in Library Science from Rosary College. She began her career as a librarian in the Chicago Public Library, where she specialized in opera and classical music. She relocated to Mobile, Alabama and then to Mequon, Wisconsin, where she retired as a librarian at the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). She lived her final years in Atlanta, Georgia.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Francis Cosgrove. She is survived by her son James Leo Cosgrove, her daughter-in-law Krista, and her grandsons Thomas Matheson Cosgrove and Patrick Clay Cosgrove. She is also survived by her son Thomas Francis Cosgrove II, her daughter-in-law Kathy, and her grandsons Ethan Nash Cosgrove and John Tyler Cosgrove. A visitation and rosary service will be held on Sunday evening, July 13, at 5:00 p.m. at Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner, Wisconsin. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday morning, July 14, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery in Spooner.
