He was born the son of Aaron and Beulah Cochran on August 29, 1951, in Colville, WA. Steve graduated from Northport High School in 1969. Shortly after graduation Steve attended Eastern Washington University where he studied Forestry. In the early 1970's Steve began his first career and the family business as a Logger in the Colville area. Steve was a dedicated, hardworking Logger with a gift to mechanic and fix anything that needed maintained and improved. This gift allowed Steve to own and build many custom cars throughout his life. In 1982, Steve would meet and marry his wife of 40 years Mary Ann. In 1989, Steve and his family (Mary Ann, Adam, and Joe) would make a short move to Spokane where Steve would begin his second career as a mechanic for M.L. Construction. In Spokane, Steve along with Mary Ann raised their boys and helped provide a quality life for the family. Steve was a worker, a friend, and a loving father and husband. In 2019, Steve retired and would spend these past few years relaxing and enjoying time with his wife, family, and golden retriever. Steve was a dedicated Seattle Mariners fan. If the game was on TV, Steve had it on! Steve also spent the past years fighting COPD which would eventually take his life. Steve was strong, a survivor, and ultimately a kind person with a big heart. Stephen was preceded in death by parents Aaron and Beulah, sister Faye and brother Wayne. Stephen is survived by his wife Mary Ann; son Adam of Deer Park, Washington; son Joe and wife April and family of Nine Mile Falls, WA; granddaughters, Ellary of Colbert, WA, and Morgan of Nampa, ID; sister Barbara of Harrington, WA; nephews Bryan and Brad of Harrington, WA; nephew Craig of Villa Park, CA; nieces Oliva of Colville WA, and Katrina of Bonners Ferry, ID.
