Shirley Mae Neuenschwander, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021, in Spokane, WA. Shirley, an only child of Floyd and Roxie Rowe was born September 29, 1935 in Spokane, WA. She attended school in Spokane graduating from North Central High School and took college courses at both Eastern Washington University and Whitworth University.
Shirley married her now late husband, Dale Neuenschwander on March 31, 1979. They continued their married lives living in Spokane, WA and often enjoyed the sunny weather at their Lake Havasu, AZ home where they spent many winters. There were many things that brought Shirley joy. Music was an important part of her life, whether it was simply listening to music or playing the piano. She loved to travel and the Oregon coast was her favorite destination. She was also an amazing cook and loved nothing more than feeding family and friends a home cooked meal. Family however, was most important to Shirley and was her ultimate joy. She was immensely proud of her family and children and leaves behind many beautiful memories.
Shirley is survived by her children, Lorilee (Jeff), Brad Sherwood (Michelle) of Washington and Teresa Meyer (Scott) also of Washington and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held on her birthday, September 29, 2021, at the Kalispel Golf and Country Club's 1898 Public House in the Chairman's Room from 4pm to 7pm.
