Shea Carole Wilson of Spokane, WA, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at her home of natural causes. Shea was born on January 12, 1965, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and moved to Spokane at age three. As a child, she loved figure skating and her horse, Prince. Shea continued her great love for animals throughout her life especially in recent years with her dogs, Skyler and Hattie. She attended Sacajawea Middle School, Lewis and Cark High School, and Eastern Washington University. Shea was active in sports, especially volleyball at Lewis and Clark, and as an adult, was always a big Oregon Ducks Fan. Shea's caring and loving nature was evident throughout her life. As a sophomore at Lewis and Clark, Shea was crowned Homecoming Princess. More recently, she volunteered weekly at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop where she was a beloved addition to their staff and attended lovingly to the needs of others.
She is survived by her husband, David Westover (Spokane), to whom she was a thoughtful, loving, and dedicated wife, and her stepson, Christopher Westover. She is also survived by her parents, Dean and Sharon Wilson (Spokane), who loved her and will miss her dearly. She loved and cherished her two nephews, Jack and Owen Wilson (Spokane). Shea will be missed by numerous relatives and friends especially those that had developed a special bond with her through the years.
She is preceded in death by her brother, David Wilson (Spokane), her grandparents, Laverne and Norman Wilson, and her grandparents, Alex and Kay Watson (Vancouver, BC), to whom she was "the apple of their eyes."
Services will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home located at 1306 North Monroe Street, Spokane, WA 99201.
