Richard Lee Higgins (age 80) passed away at his Spokane Valley home March 31, 2015. He was born December 11, 1934 in Gooding, Idaho and has been a resident of the Spokane area since 1960. Dick’s love of the outdoors included camping, hunting, fishing, and in his younger years, riding motorcycles. He was a truck driver for many years, retiring from Marine Express in 1998. Dick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Higgins; his daughter, Valarie Duffey and husband Dan; his son, Barry Higgins; and two grandchildren, Krysandra Duffey and Andrew Duffey. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
