Ralph Christensen passed away November 9, 2015 at the age of 80. Born in Tuttle, ND in 1935, son of Theodore and Constance and brother to seven siblings, Ethyl, Lyle, Leonard, Doris, Vernal, Alice, and Lavern. His professional career began by serving four years in the Navy. Afterwards, Ralph worked at the Mandan Creamery, followed by several years in the oil fields of Colorado and Utah. As a member of the local Piledrivers #2382 and Carpenters #98 Unions, Ralph had his hands in many infrastructure projects throughout northeast Washington. Ralph's sense of humor was as well kept as his garden, and just as dirty. He was a dedicated Seattle sports fan, never missing a Seahawks or Mariners game. His mother, father, two sisters and brother preceded him in death. Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of 58 years; son, Brad, daughter, Laurie; daughter in-law, Annette; son in-law, Ernie; seven grandkids, Karissa, Matt, Miranda, Ernie Jr., Trevor, Josh and Calvin; granddaughter in-law, Racheal; six great-grandkids, C.J., Bailee, Zack, Hunter, Cooper and Elliot; all of whom wear smiles in fond memory of his warm heart and quick wit.
In memory of Ralph, a public viewing will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Friday, November 13, at Thornhill Valley Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will take place on November 14, 2015 at 1:00pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA with burial to follow. Both are open to family and friends.
