Paula Jean Campbell was called home by her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2015. Born January 17, 1951 to Reinhold (Ray) and Hazel Lehne in Wenatchee, Washington, Paula’s life was spent first in Wenatchee and then later Spokane. After graduating from Wenatchee High School and then Wenatchee Valley Community College, she moved to Spokane and began her career with the Bonneville Power Administration. Beginning as a clerk typist and retiring as a highly respected right of way specialist, Paula was repeatedly recognized for her attention to detail and for working with the highest level of integrity. Her 31 year career saw multiple accomplishments and fostered lifelong friendships. Early on in her career she met and married the love of her life Dan, and together they spent the next 42 years building a life, home, and family. Always one to put her family first, Paula demonstrated through her love and support that her family was one of the great passions in her life. She enjoyed spending time with them, caring for them, spoiling them (especially her grandkids) and being the rock and light of our lives. Her eyes would sparkle whenever she was with her family. She enjoyed numerous trips to the lake, traveling to various vacation spots, playing with her grandkids and enjoyed spending time with her family at home. No matter what challenges life presented she never gave up and had a will and determination about her that lives on through us all.
Paula (Mom and Grandma) is survived by her husband Dan Campbell, her son Daniel and his wife Kelli Campbell, her granddaughters Alexis and Alaina Campbell, her siblings Pam Auvil, Linda Lehne, Ken Lehne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in Heaven by her parents Hazel and Ray Lehne.
A celebration of her amazing life with us and the marking of her next chapter with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be held Tuesday, December 8th at St. David’s Episcopal Church 7315 N Wall St, Spokane, WA beginning at 11 AM. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home of Spokane is caring for the family.
