She was born on January 22nd, 1950 in Beaufort, South Carolina. She attended High School at Shadle Park High School in 1968, and eventually took up a job at Zenith Administrators, where she was well-loved and appreciated by her coworkers.
Kathy loved nature and being outdoors, which was evidenced by her love of working in her garden, creating the beauty that only Mother Nature and a set of skilled, loving hands could create. But it wasn’t just the tranquility of the garden that she loved. She also enjoyed the action of a bi-weekly excursion to try her luck at Northern Quest Casino!
She fought a valiant battle, but eventually succumbed to the illness that took her … way too early. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, and always being willing to help those who needed it. Kathy leaves behind her son, Damon McAfee, her boyfriend, Brian Westerman, her grandkids, Autumn and Kristen McAfee, and her siblings Mark, Gary and Dick.
Kathy will be remembered with great fondness by those who knew and loved her. She was not particularly religious, but she was certainly spiritual, and surely looks forward to the time when her friends and family will one day reunite with her.
