He passed away on September 17, 2017 in Spokane, Washington after a short illness.
John grew up in the Whitefish and Kalispell area of Montana. He moved to Soap Lake, Washington with his parents in his teen years. He graduated from Soap Lake Jr-Sr High School in 1967. He met Tess Ann Griffith in school & married 6 months after she graduated on December 23, 1968.
In August 1968 John joined the US Army and became a Cartographer and Terrain Analyst. He served one year in Vietnam. John and his family moved around frequently with the military. He spent 11 years in the Southwest and Southeast United States. He spent another 9 years in Germany. Many vacations were spent in different places all over Europe.
John was a lifetime member of the NRA, and VFW. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, Tess Rosean; his daughters, Cherri R. Rosean, of Spokane and Erika L. Rosean, of Coeur d Alene, Idaho; his brothers Rodney Rosean, of Asheville, Oregon, and Kenneth Rosean and his wife Cheryl of Kalispell, Montana; his cousin Gary Frank of Spokane, Washington; and his grandchildren, William Powell, Christine Powell, and Zophia Powell all of Cheney, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Ethel Rosean; and his granddaughter Kelsey R Heidecker.
Memorial Service will be held at the Linwood Seventh Day Adventist Church at 6525 N. Monroe, Spokane, Washington 99208, on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 2:00 pm.
There will also be an Honors Ceremony at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake for family.
