Forbes W. "Buck" Rogers, age 74, passed away November 27, 2010 in Spokane, WA. Buck was born on January 5, 1936 in Boston, MA. He was raised and schooled in Boston and after high school he joined the U.S. Army. He earned his masters degree in 1959 from Southern Oregon State College. He earned his PhD at Gonzaga where he taught for many years. Buck was very active for many years at the Morning Star Boys Ranch. Buck was an outdoor person and loved to camp. He adored his dog, Abby.
Buck is survived by four sons, William and David Rogers of Anchorage, AK and George and Michael Rogers of Eugene, OR; five grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Beers of Vermont. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, William.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm, at the Gonzaga Student Chapel, College Hall , the 3rd floor of the Administration Building, at 502 E. Boone. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morning Star Boys Ranch of a charity of one's choice. HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME 1306 N. MONROE is in charge of arrangements.
