Shirley went to be with our Lord on May 21, 2011. She resided in Spokane for 38 years. Shirley fought a courageous five and a half year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on January 30, 1943 in Yakima, WA to Roy and Golda Floyd. Shirley attended Selah High School and graduated from Kinman Business School. Her enjoyments in life were golfing, attending church, garage sales, gardening and her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Carrie Nelson, Mario (Brandy) Roybal, Cyndee (Rick) Blackmore, Tiffany Jorgensen and Tina Raska; nine grandchildren; brother, Emmitt Floyd and nephew, Randy Floyd. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25th from 4PM-8PM at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 26th at 2:30PM at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 10920 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley. Burial will follow at Pines Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Hospice House, the pastors and members of New Beginnings Christian Church and the congregation of the New Life Assembly of God for their support and care to the family.
