Sally Jane Larson passed away at the age of 89 on October 27th, 2021. Sally was born in Spokane WA. on November 25th, 1931 to Agnes and Edward Zurlinden. As an only child, Sally grew up on the farm on Orchard Prairie. She has shared many fond memories of growing up on the farm working in the garden and riding her bike. Sally had a love for music. She grew up in a house full of music as her dad played the violin and her mother an avid pianist. Sally played piano, but her love was for singing. In her younger years she sang professionally at events and in the choir at Millwood Presbyterian for many years. Sally married her husband Elof Larson in 1957, and together they raised their son Jim who was born in 1964. Sally was a homemaker and spent much of her time on fishing trips with her husband and son. As a lifetime member of Millwood Presbyterian, she was a member of the choir and various groups within the church. In her later years, Sally moved up to Newport to be closer to her family. There, she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sally is survived by her son James (Jean) Larson, grandchildren Kristen (James) Langley, Jordan (Amanda) Larson, Lauren Persyn (Dallas Smith), and Nathan (Stephanie) Larson, and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Edward Zurlinden, and her husband Elof Larson.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on November 18th at Millwood Presbyterian in the Spokane Valley.
