Kyra Lynn Straub passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 2, 2022 at the age of 72. She was born in Lewistown, Montana on December 7, 1949 and moved to Spokane, Washington early in life. She graduated from East Valley High School in 1968 and then Eastern Washington University.
She was introduced to the love of her life, Gary, by her mother Norma in 1977 and married Gary in 1979.
She was an avid performer and acted with her daughter in community theatre and sang in church choirs throughout her life. She also loved and fed every neighborhood cat and stray. Kyra and Gary also had a love for horses and owned 3 thoroughbreds.
She worked at Monaco Enterprises for 25 years before retiring and focusing on church and family. She deeply loved her husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandsons.
A woman of strong faith, Kyra worked over 20 years at Spokane Valley UMC as their youth group coordinator and was involved in various praise teams and choirs there for over 30 years.
She is survived by husband Gary, daughter Morgan Nonis (Jacob), brother Allan Friesen (Carol), her 2 grandsons Ethan and Emerson Nonis, brother in-law Richard Straub (JoAnn) ,Bigfoot, Barry Manilow and many loving friends.

A celebration of life for Kyra will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
