Although only 30 years old, Josh was known and loved by many. His contagious laugh lit up the room, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. He was a beloved son, devoted father and brother, caring grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Josh was born on July 31st, 1989 in Spokane Washington, where he attended Blake Elementary, North Pines Middle School, and University High School. He always had a passion for adventure. He loved fishing, camping, skateboarding, gardening, and riding his motorcycle. Above all, Josh had an unstoppable love for his son, Ryder Floyd.
He is survived by his parents Ric and Lisa Lake of Spokane Valley and Tom Floyd of Wenatchee, his son Ryder Floyd, his sister and brother in law Ali and Mat Trombetta, his girlfriend Brandi Hedquist, and the mother of his son and friend Dede Porch. He also leaves behind his grandparents Bob and Jan Tritle and Myrtle Floyd, close friends and cousins Kyle Tritle and Jeremy Tritle, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
We hope to have a proper memorial service for Josh at the end of July when it is safe to gather in large groups publicly. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Ryder Floyd’s private school, House of the Lord Christian Academy.
