Jodie Carr Saladin was born in Riverside, California, on September 5, 1969, to her parents, Arthur G Stowe and Florence Marie Stowe. She grew up in Baytown, Texas, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1988. Jodie married Mike Saladin on March 9, 1991, and moved to Washington State.
She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Mike Saladin; sons Jonah and Caleb Saladin of Spokane; daughter MacKenzie Saladin of Bellingham; brother Arthur G Stowe III and wife Lisa of Grotto, and nephew Arthur; sister Michele Prudhome and husband Wayne of Kountze, Texas, and nephews Randall and Ethan, and niece Elizabeth; and sister-in-laws Kristi and Doug Hovde of Puyallup, and Jan and Sam Stachofsky of Spokane, and many more nephews and nieces.
She was devoted to being part of her kids’ lives and their communities as Baseball Mom, Swim Mom, Drama Mom, and Mama Saladin for the school friends. Jodie had a special way of collecting friends and bringing joy into people’s lives. Once you were one of her people, you were always one of her people. She loved traveling around the world and spending long hours on tropical beaches with her husband and friends. She lived a life full of adventures.
Jodie passed away on October 20, 2022, in Spokane, after a short fight with acute liver failure. A memorial service will be held in her memory Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Spokane First at 828 W Indiana in Spokane, WA
