Age 75
Dennis “Denny” passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 at Sacred Heart Medical Center with his loving family beside him. Dennis was born Sept. 25, 1939 in Bagley, Minnesota. At the age of twelve, he moved to Monroe, WA and lived there until 1982 when he moved to Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by his son Steve Larson and his parents Clifford and Hazelle Braaten. Dennis was employed as a truck driver from the age of 24 for different trucking companies in Western and Eastern Washington until he retired in 1994. Dennis is survived by his wife Sandra “Sandi” of 56 years, his sons, Jeffery (Angela), and Gregg Larson, his sister, Barbara (Joe) Quaranta, and brother, Lowell (Kathy) Braaten and numerous nieces and nephews that he was very proud of. The light of Dennis’ life was his grandchildren, Derek, Spencer (Martenson), Travis, Meghann, Trevor, Tyler, and Hannah “Bubba” Larson. Dennis was an avid Gonzaga men and women’s basketball fan. He was looking forward to this season’s games and we are sure he will be watching the action from heaven. (GO ZAGS!) A celebration of his life will be on his 76th birthday, September 25, 2015 at 1:00pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA. The family would like to thank Doctors Andrew Boulet, Jeff Markin, Richard Lambert, and the staff at Sacred Heart Medical Center for their excellent care.
