Christa Charlotte Knipprath

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00AM at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd. A burial service will be held in Westlake Village, CA, at Valley Oaks Memorial Park.

Christa was born in Dortmund, Germany, on November 3, 1931. She married Werner Gerhard Knipprath on October 14, 1950 in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim, Germany, and was married for 36 years until her husband’s passing in 1986.

Christa immigrated to the United States in 1960 with her husband and two children to the southern CA area, where she worked in retail sales, eventually partnering in a home remodeling business. In 1995, Christa moved to Spokane, WA, joining in retail sales in the family wine business. Throughout her life, Christa has enjoyed gardening, interior decorating and design, and spending time with her cats and family.

Christa is survived by her sister Eva Wollner; sons, Joerg, Henning, and Mike; 14 grandchildren, and loving nieces and nephews.

Christa is preceded in death by her parents Dorothea and Rudolf Drews; her sister Karin; and her husband Werner.
