Bernard "Bernie" Everhart

Our beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend went to be with our heavenly father, peacefully at his home on the evening of February 23, 2024. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for 2 ½ years.

Bernie was born May 7, 1950 in Spokane, Washington to Vivian & Bernie Everhart and graduated from West Valley High School in 1968. He proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1968 to 1971. In 1969 he had the first of three children, Shari Everhart, and in 1971 Chad Everhart was born and in 1972 Traci Everhart was born.

In the early 70’s Bernie started Everhart Painting. He enjoyed his yard, his flowers, cars, motorcycles, and cheering on the Mariners.

Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian & Bernie and his first born grandson, Mason Michael Kitterman. He is survived by his three children, Shari of California, Chad (Maryann) and Traci of Spokane; his sister Sue Mellish (Lee); two grandchildren, Taylor Everhart and Kristen Kitterman (Brennen); two great grandchildren, Brinley and Carter Kitterman, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and many friends that meant the world to him. A special thank you to Jeanette McKoon and Linda Everhart for being by his side until the end.

Bernie will be missed by all that knew and loved him!

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Valley Real Life Church, located at 1831 S. Barker Rd, Spokane Valley, WA at 11:00 am with a reception at the church to follow.
