William J Miller Jr.

Born in Newark, NJ he attended Newark College of Engineering (NJIT) and received a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, he was also in ROTC. After graduation, he joined the air force and moved to Alexandria Louisiana, then eventually moving back to Sparta, NJ. Bill was a Civil Engineer for Hanover Twp., NJ.

Bill was an avid gardener, he enjoyed bowling and watching NASCAR racing and loved his Washington Redskins. Bill also loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them fishing. He enjoyed spending time with family and his dog Adrienne.

Mr. Miller was predeceased by his mother Carmel and father William Miller and his daughter Sharon Ann Miller of Newton.

He is survived in life by his wife Shirley Ann Miller, son William Miller lll and his wife Kimberly of Bench Lake, PA, brother Bob Miller and wife Kathy of Michigan. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Sara and Zachary Sevek and Mathew Miller of Newton, NJ.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted under Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Cremation was held privately. Bill’s cremains will be interred at Brigadier General Doyle VA Cemetery in South Jersey.
