Sparta, NJ- Stephen Iannacone peacefully went home to the Lord, on Friday, February 3, 2017 in Morristown. He was 55. Stephen was born in Jersey City, to his parents Robert and Dolores (Lucci) Iannacone and was a lifelong resident of Sparta. He was last employed as a division chief of desktop and systems support at Picatinny Arsenal for 32 years. He was also a music minister for various local Roman Catholic parishes including St. Kateri Tekakwitha. Stephen was a member of the Randolph Lions Club. He also directed the musical choir, “Voices in the Wilderness”, which performed in the local area. He was a proud supporter of Camp Marcella in Hibernia, where he was a past camper, instructor of music, and counselor. Stephen had just become an instructor at the (VLANJ) Vision Loss Alliance of New Jersey in Denville, a career he was looking forward to pursuing. Stephen is survived by his wife of 34 years, Theresa (Senior) Iannacone, his son, Robert Anthony Iannacone and his wife Stefanie of Sparta. Three daughters; Christina Brown and her husband Christopher of Sparta, Kathryn Iannacone and her fiancé Kyle Wright of Sparta, and Angela Masi and her husband John of Manhattan, NY. Three Grandchildren, Adam Brown, Amelia Masi, and Winifred Iannacone. Brother; Mark Iannacone of Georgia, Sisters; Debra Scheidemantel of Virginia, Lisa Iannacone and Valerie Iannacone of Victory Gardens, NJ.Family and friends are invited Tuesday Feb. 7th, 2~4 & 7~9 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. A 10 am Wednesday Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church 427 Stanhope Rd, Sparta followed by private cremation.
