Robert Anthony Catanio, 70, of Sparta, NJ passed away on December 15, 2014 after a courageous 8 year battle will Multiple Myloma. Bob was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Jefferson Township for 40 years before moving to Sparta 14 years ago. He attended Seton Hall University in E. Orange, NJ and was a proud member of the United States Army. Bob was owner of Jefferson Morris Realty in Jefferson, NJ and had been working for Weichert Realty in Sparta. He coached baseball and basketball, loved golf and was an avid Giant fan but most of all he loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Verna McArdle Catanio; devoted daughter; Kim Guerra and her husband Adam; loving grandchildren: Brody, Jade, and Braxton; brother Ronald Catanio and mother-in-law Edna Anctil. Friends may call Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ.
