SPARTA- Martin C. Jachts went home to the Lord, on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at New York Presbyterian Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was 75. Martin was born in Newark, NJ, lived in Paterson and Hawthorne, NJ and for the past 48 years resided in Sparta. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was employed in sales and management for 16 years with Pfizer Inc. In 1977 he founded Seegott Inc. of New Jersey which prospered and flourished through his retirement in on December 31, 1999. He was an active member of the Metropolitan New York Paint and Coatings Association. Martin had an exuberance for life. He was and avid fisherman, skier and gardener. He was also a Eucharistic Minister and Choir Member at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Sparta which brought him great joy. Martin is survived by his beloved spouse of 53 years, Ann Marie Jachts, his son Darren and his wife Victoria of Franklin Lakes, NJ, his daughter; Dana Friedl and her husband Michael of Purcellville, Va., his brother; Arthur and his wife Celeste of Howell, NJ, and six grandchildren; Diana, Veronica, and Jessica Jachts, and Julia, Loudon and Marissa Friedl .Family and friends are invited on Tuesday, November 5, 2~4 7~9 pm Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871. A 10 am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church on Wednesday followed by entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ.
