Aldona Fienan

Aldona (Bicica) Fienan, 79, died peacefully at Complete Care at Shorrock Gardens Nursing Home in Brick, NJ on August 21st, 2024. She fought a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease for many years. Aldona was the daughter of John and Wanda (Ryle) Bicica and the devoted wife of 59 years to the late Thomas Fienan.

Donna was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and was a graduate of Bayonne High School. She spent her career working as a legal secretary for several law firms, including the Law Offices of Donald J. Meliado and Judge Horace K. Roberson. She was also the personal legal secretary to the General Counsel - Litigation at PSE&G in Newark, NJ.

After retiring in 1995, Donna and Tom moved to Las Vegas where Donna enjoyed working part-time at the Bellagio Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. During their 22 years in Vegas, Donna and Tom enjoyed hosting many family members and friends. They loved showing everyone the sights and attractions of the city. In 2017, they returned home to New Jersey to be closer to their family.

In her free time, Donna enjoyed being with her grandchildren, playing bingo and watching her favorite television show, Friends. She was a lifelong NY Giants and NY Yankees fan. She was also a devout Catholic, relying on her faith in both happy and difficult times.

Donna was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, and her son, Thomas Michael. She is survived by her daughter Kerry Boyle and her husband Kevin, along with her daughter-in-law Jamie Fienan. Loving sister to Eileen Belden and her husband, Richard. Devoted grandmother to Kaitlyn Boyle, Leigh Ann Boyle and fiancé Adam Rynerson, and Thomas John Fienan. She will be remembered by many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 25th from 3:00 -7:00 PM at Bayonne Memorial Home, 854 Ave. C, Bayonne, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, August 26th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church at Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich Parish, Bayonne, NJ. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
