Family has been the greatest joy of his life.
Roy had many nicknames over his lifetime - Moose, Popeye, and Reverend Roy. Spanning across numerous years, his career was in the trucking industry. After retirement, he enjoyed spreading his love of God and the word of God by planting seeds wherever he went. He enjoyed many blessings of family dinners, traveling the United States, sleeping in late, and relaxing and catching up with his many friends. Roy served his community for twenty-five years as an Elk member. In his free time, he frequented many golf courses and was a member of the Oak Island Golf Club. He was also known to be the life of the party between his comical jokes and shagging on the dance floor.
God has given him the greatest gift of all, his heavenly home.
