Mr. Collins was born December 15, 1954, son of the late Wayne and Sophia Collins. Bob had played drums since he was a young boy and had a huge passion for music and playing out live. He played in countless bands and has made many friends along the way. Bob had worked as an electrician at DuPont in Circleville, Ohio. One Friday he walked out the door of DuPont and moved to the beach and had never been happier. He continued his employment as an electrician in the Southport area for several years. Bob later became a truck driver for Real Green Turf, where he was the first full time driver hired. He was a huge help in aiding the growth of their small family owned business. He considered the people of Real Green his own family. Bob loved his son, granddaughter, and nephew, and he was very proud of them.
Survivors include his son, Rob Collins of Southport; a granddaughter, Kyla Collins of Chillicothe, Ohio; a nephew, Troy M. Collins of Chillicothe, Ohio; numerous friends and his close music family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Beeler; and a brother, Wayne Collins, Jr.
A full band jam session will be held to celebrate his life in the next few weeks. The details will be added to this obituary soon.
