Rick was born September 10, 1942, son of the late Richard Lee Woodcock and Helen Westerfield Woodcock.
After serving in the US Air Force from 1960 to 1967, he began his civilian career in information technology with IBM, retiring from Oracle as a Vice President of Global Networking in 1999.
Rick had many interests and hobbies, some of which include hunting, boating, camping, woodworking, golfing, and photography. His greatest joy was sharing his love for music and fishing with his grandchildren, who knew him as Pop Pop. His happiest times were spent with his wife Judi, their children, and grandchildren at the family beach home.
Survivors include his wife, Judi Woodcock; four children, Alan Woodcock and wife Lesley, Deborah Pedigo and husband Kenny, Jill Weinberg and husband Steve, and Susanne Cox and husband Gary; seven grandchildren, Shelby Pedigo, Taylor Pedigo, Megan Pedigo, Jake Weinberg, Sam Weinberg, Devin Frick, and Sydney Cox; two step-grandchildren, Michael Cox and Ashley Grainger; two sisters, Angela Slye and Wendy Hutchinson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Pedigo, and a brother, Patrick Woodcock.
A private family service will be held at a later date. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Rick’s name.
