Mrs. Levin was born February 13, 1926 to the late Neil and Sarah Gilbride. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Levin whom she loved very dearly, a brother Neil Gilbride, and a sister Betty Humphrey. Nancy graduated from the University of Florida, where she earned both her bachelor and master's degrees. She worked as a child psychologist in Mississippi and founded a Montessori school in Boone, NC. Nancy was active politically and ran Robert Kennedy's presidential campaign in the state of Indiana in 1967. She was devoted to her friends and family. Nancy was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Johnson City. She was an avid collector of books and antiques. Mrs. Levin designed and built the family home in Watauga County, NC.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Eric Levin and Toby Levin; a daughter, Elizabeth Peneguy; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Jack.
