Ms. Vorce was born January 21, 1936 in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Elmer Ellsworth Brown and Josephine C. Berman. She was raised in Northeast, Washington, DC and went to Eastern High School. Ann married the late John C. Vorce, Sr., right after high school and had eight children in eleven years. She was an artist, loved to dance, and had a very vibrant personality with a contagious smile and beautiful blue eyes. Spending time with her family and her dog Dasie, was the most important things to her. She was always there for her family in their times of need. Ann had a zest for life.
Survivors include her seven children, John Clinton Vorce, Jr. and Rosslyn C. Fanning of Shallotte, NC, Deborah Ann Feeley and husband John of Sunset Beach, NC, Clinton Henry Vorce and wife Lydia of Danville, VA, Linda Marie DiGiacomo and husband Frank of Fenwick, DE, Annette M. Carberry of Southport, NC, Joseph Michael Vorce and wife Kristen of Lompoc, CA, and Roy Anthony Vorce of Columbia, MD; twenty grandchildren, Mark, Joseph, Timothy, Matthew, Tony, Shaharra, Matthew, Daniel, Catherine, Alexander, Paul, Franklin, Joseph, Logan, McKenna, Anthony, Bryan, Dylan, Justin, and Rachel; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William James Vorce; two grandsons, Tyler John Vorce and Jacob Cole Vorce; a granddaughter, Megan Erin Feeley; and a sister, June Brunner.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
