He was born August 18, 1931 in New Haven and was the son of the late Joseph and Susan (Alberino) Eaccarino.
He was a veteran of the Korean War proudly serving with the U.S. Navy. Tom was a past commander and life member of the Southington American Legion Post 72.
Tom retired from US Repeating Arms formerly Winchester Firearms in New Haven after 33 years of service and the following Monday started a new job at Marlin Firearms retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his two sons, Glenn Eaccarino and wife Carol of Wolcott and Thomas J. Eaccarino Jr. and wife Peggy of West Brookfield, VT; a brother, Edward Eaccarino and wife JoAnn of Old Saybrook; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Kali, Bryan, Tricia, Hannah and Lillian Eaccarino, Tina Crystal, Tyler Sandora and Adam Sandora; six great grandchildren, Troy, Thomas, Madison, Layla, Aurella, and Jaxon. He was predeceased by his sister, Concetta Farrel.
Tom's family would like to thank his caregiver Linda Haley for all the special care she gave to Tom.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville for a Mass of Christian burial at 12:30 p.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 5-7 p.m. Burial with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family.
