He was born May 23, 1945 in Danbury, the son of the late Raymond and Rosa
(Benoit) Jandreau. He had been a computer programmer, retiring from Elliptipar Co. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam era as a Staff Sargent.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Danielle Monte and her husband Jeffrey, and Gregory Jandreau and his wife Julissa, all of Southington, his 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Ryan Monte, Gabriella and Liliana Jandreau. He also leaves his sisters, Jean Babey and her husband Roger and Claire Flebotte and her husband David all of FL., as well as many brothers and sisters-in- law, nieces and nephews.
Ray was involved for many years as coach for Northern Little League. Family was his greatest joy. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he enjoyed his years of retirement spending time with them and attending all of their activities. Ray always managed to find humor in life, even during difficult times. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Calling hours will be Sunday 4-6 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
The Funeral Mass will be held Monday 9: 45 a.m. from the funeral home to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. Plantsville for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family with Military Honors. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Disabled American Veterans, 191 Riverside Ave., Bristol, CT 06060.
