Norman M. Chevrette, 81, of Southington and formerly a longtime resident of Rhode Island passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at LiveWell in Plantsville. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia (Powers) Chevrette.
Born July 18, 1941 in Central Falls, RI, he was the son of the late Leo and Dorianne (Lussier) Chevrette.
Norman was a purchasing agent for E.J. Davis, North Haven for many years until his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church and avid sports fan.
He is survived by his three children, Diane Woolley and husband David of White Plains, NY, David Chevrette and wife Melissa of Marlborough, MA and Michael Chevrette of E. New Brunswick, NJ; six grandchildren, Luke, Timothy, Cyndy, Danny, Robynne and Matthew; a great granddaughter, Violette; three brothers, Robert Chevrette of Southington, Emile Chevrette of FL and Donald Chevrette of MA; two sisters, Geraldine Prout of RI and Suzanne Shaw of FL. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Vivian Swisher and Claire Labarre and his daughter-in-law, Lori Chevrette.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the mass from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to LiveWell, 1261 S.
